Paired with the attack buff, it makes for a very powerful +80% damage steroid to the whole party. I’d even dare say you have better than 50/50 odds of a given enemy having one of those traits than not. Divine, Undead, and Demon are all fairly common traits, with roughly ⅓ of the Servant roster being Divine, a very good sum of regular/miniboss enemies being Demon or Undead, and a large chunk of story/event bosses being one of those three. I’ll admit, none of these effects are particularly game-breaking, but they are all solid. It provides the party with a duo of offensive buffs - a 20% Attack buff and a 50% Anti-Undead/Demon/Divine trait buff (assuming NP5) for 3 turns, a 20 star bomb on use, separate from the possible stars off a Quick chain, and a 2k heal for the party that scales on Overcharge. Boy, I guess they found Irisviel’s garbage NP gain and barebones skill set too powerful to unleash ever again, until now.īut keeping on track, this NP has a number of effects.

Which makes her the second welfare with a support NP, after Irisviel an eternity ago during Accel Zero.

Martha Santa’s NP, Happy Merry Christmas, besides having a fairly redundant lineup of adjectives, is a Quick supportive NP, and one with the welfare perk of being a free NP5 at that. So while the supportive aspects of this skill are relatively minor, the gauge charge alone is enough to carry it, also warranting the 8-turn base cooldown to put it in line with Martha’s other skills. While it’s not going to be of much use to a Servant already set up for a crit turn, buffs don’t last forever, and a nigh-guaranteed crit can be used flexibly to set up NP gauge gain or damage depending on the situation. On top of that, the targeted star focus and 10 stars essentially enables a guaranteed crit on any single card for an ally, depending on how the turn’s cards end up playing out. Unsurprisingly, I’m bound to inform you that any and all gauge charge skills are good, even if a self-gauge charge on a Support isn’t the most effective kind around. As is typical for Santa Servants to have a Santa-based supportive ally target skill, this provides a huge +5000% star focus buff to an ally for 1 turn, on top of providing a small 10-star bomb and charging Martha Santa’s own gauge by 30%! Last on Martha’s skill lineup is Santa Claus’s Invitation C+. Her Quicks will provide a tidy sum when splashed into a chain, which is easily all you need, though.Įverything taken into account, Martha Santa has both pretty good NP gain and stargen on her regular cards to work with, an important foundation for a Support to build upon. So far as stargen goes, Martha’s deck and great Quick cards make her pretty effective at producing stars, even if she doesn’t exactly focus on it. Where Martha crumbles, if anywhere, is her Extra card, its 4 hits not providing anywhere near decent NP gauge for her base NP gain, though having good NP gain on Arts/Quicks is significantly more important. Miraculously, her Quicks don’t slack either, the two of them producing very respectable NP gauge thanks to their 4 hits and Martha’s Riding passive pumping their effects in general. With her Territory Creation in play, that leads to a base Arts gain of 2.1384, reasonably above average for her card deck. DW really don’t chill on filling in an archetype once they’ve blown open the doors for it, huh?Īs for what that means for NP gain, Martha packs 2 3-hit Arts cards, a fan favourite, with a base NP gain of 0.66%. With a BAAQQ card deck, Martha Santa is not only an elusive Caster with a Quick-focused deck, but also the second with a Quick NP.
